Dear LELRR Supporter,
A sincere and heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who came out for the 2022 Lab Tie and Tails Gala! Whether you bought a sponsorship, attended the event, donated a raffle item, money or time, your support was invaluable to our success. Congratulations to everyone who won a raffle, auction, sideboard or 50/50 and a shout out to the biggest winners of the night...THE LABS!
There were many highlights of the evening: Amethyst Strings providing live music, special Lab guests Finnegan and Alphonse and of course the video that highlights the last 12 months in our rescue. Here's a link in case you missed it or were not able to attend. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FCYe6Qi9TcY
We strive to make each year's event a little bit better than the last. If you have any comments or suggestions for improvements, we welcome the input. Feel free to reply email gala@LELRR.org with any feedback you'd like to share.
Thank you again for all your support. We look forward to seeing everyone at next year's Gala on Saturday, October 7th 2023.

On average LELRR re-homes 65-90 dogs annually, that’s more than one a week!
Readying a dog for a new life in a loving home involves significant veterinary work. All dogs are given a full veterinary exam which includes: CBC/chem blood panel in addition to tests for heartworm and Lyme disease. ANY conditions are treated - from amputations to tumor removal. It routinely involves extensive dental procedures, spay/neuter, treatment of heartworm and/or Lyme disease, skin and ear infections, parasites, kennel cough and much more.
All this requires a lot of funding from our supporters even though our wonderful veterinarians provide discounts. We owe them a huge thanks for this! As the organization has grown and more dogs are rescued, costs continue to rise.
Lake Erie Labrador Retriever Rescue Inc. - a quick timeline...
1994 - Founded as the Rescue Committee of the Lake Erie Labrador Retriever Club
1999 - Incorporation as a non-profit
2016 - 78 Labs/Lab mixes adopted & largest single rescue of Labs, the “Venango 10”
2017 - 74 Labs/Lab mixes adopted & The Lone Star Seven pre-Harvey Texas Labs, second
largest rescue in a day
2018 - 64 Labs/Lab mixes adopted, Seven from Heaven (Plus One!), 8 Labs saved in one day
Over $66,000 in vet bills
2019 - 86 Labs/Lab mixes adopted, including Benjamin the Brave, $77,000 in medical
expenses
2020-21 - 101 Labs/Lab mixes in forever homes, $117,000 medical expenses
2022 - 80+ Labs/Lab mixes in forever homes to date, $90,000+ medical expenses so far.
Please join us to help cover our ongoing and ever growing vet costs ~ we hope to see you there!
